Eat Healthy Series #thesewingmachinebefab Raagi Soup/Porridge

Hello Ladies & Gents (if any) . Long time since we spoke about eating healthy & the do's & dont's of it. Was tied up with the Fashion Blogging & Designing , thus the delay in this. Maybe the free time or the 4 KGS extra on the scale has prompted this post. I am guessing its the latter. 

So today we have a local soup made from a local ingredient here at South India called RAAGI & in English its known as Finger Millet. 




Nutritional Value: Rich in Amino Acid (Iron), Calcium, Vitamin A, Protein, B1, B2, B3, Fibre & many more such nutritional requirements that lack in our daily starchy diets. 

What to make of it: You can make many things from this wonder grain. Rotis , Dosas, Porridge, Idly,Laddus,Soup etc are just few of the recipes. 



We will Tell you how to make a soup or a porridge :)

Step 1: Boil 2 large spoons of Raagi Powder (Or even Oats for Oats Porridge) in 2 glasses of water
Step 2: Switch off the stove when it starts to boil
Step 3: Add 2 cups Yogurt/curd/buttermilk to it n salt to taste 
Step 4: Season it with half spoon of whole mustard , whole jeera and whole ajwain
Step 5: Ready to work wonders in your system
